Comments for Deterioration

My experience

My mother had a stroke 3 months ago at 79. She was progressing quite well but about 6 weeks later I saw a big change. She was not communicating well and would not eat. We had her admitted to the hospital and a MRI showed lesions on the other side of the brain. Basically she experienced a sub-acute stroke on the other side. The last six weeks have not been great. She is now in a nursing home facility and they are trying to get her to eat. The hospital put a feeding tube in so she is receiving liquid at night but she remains pretty week. So disheartening for our family. Not sure what will happen. The medical staff is not sure either.
