Wound stage 4 and a stroke

My husband never made it to rehab because of stage 4 wounds he got in ICU. The doctor has removed nearly all of one butt cheek and part of the other. He is very obese and the wound is the size of my small head! He is on a feeding tube and is getting a colostomy bag this week! I don’t know how much more he can take. From what I’m reading it can be 2 years for this wound to heal
It has been 6 weeks since his stroke with no rehab!
He has a living will to stop nourishments if there is not a chance of recovery. I can’t seem to get an answer from either his wound doc or neurologist
He can not speak or move his dominate right side! I am so torn about what to do about his living will wishes!
What would you do!

slow recovery

I have a brother who had a stroke a month ago,it was necessary to put a shunt in his head.since then he has made little progress. Although slow progress is better then none.the last CT scan done, the doctors said looked good, and that they can't understand why he is not talking

Mom won't work for it.

My mother had a stroke 1 yr ago. It wasn't a bad one. She got the use of her right hand back almost immediately. She was weak on the right side. She was up and walking on a walker. She has fell about 7 times by not listening and getting up in the middle of the night to change her gown or diaper by herself, and that's a no no. She ended up with a right broken ankle that required surgery. Her ankles is better and she refuses to exercise to keep her strength. She whines and cries all the time over having to move. She won't listen to anyone. She weighs over 200 lbs, and I'm getting to where I can't pull and tug on her. My back is staying stiff and sore. She is taking a toll on me. I have no help from family, and I wish someone could just encourage her to do something. She just refuses. She doesn't realize that exercise will make a huge difference in her both physically and mentally but she wont do anything but lay or sit and bark orders. Help I don't know what to do. She is going to fall again, and I will have to place her in a nursing home because I feel like I am fighting a losing battle.
